Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks follow nights of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
